Therapeutic Approach to Classic Asana [SomaYoga Weekend Immersion] w/ Ann Maxwell of Yoga North ISYI

Yoga Sutra 2.46 Sthira Sukham Asanam “The posture should be steady and comfortable.”

Get inspired about how to support yourself and your students increase mobility and freedom in their bodies and advance their mat practice to their next level of brilliance.

Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute is known for the methodology of SomaYoga- a unique blending of Somatics, Therapeutic Yoga, and classic yoga asana (postures).

In this immersive training, we will look at yoga asana through a study of anatomy, kinesiology, and SomaYoga methodology & techniques so your own practice and students’ practice can flourish with ease. Specific SomaYoga techniques – such as aligning from the spine out to the largest joints and the extremities, and using self-pandiculation to increase mobility and function – will be studied within the framework of this intensive workshop.

Immersion is led by Ann Maxwell, Yoga North ISYI Co-Owner, MAed, C-IAYT, ERYT 500, Somatic Educator
