SomaYoga Therapy & Somatics Immersion w/ Ann Maxwell of Yoga North ISYI

If you have been curious about SomaYoga Therapy and Somatics, this is the all-inclusive workshop to get you more acclimated to its powerful effects.

SomaYoga Therapy is the blend of gentle therapeutic yoga with neuromuscular retraining of Somatics. In this course we’ll learn how our bodies develop unconscious movement and tension patterns and how to identify & change them. Explore the Neurophysiology behind SomaYoga, learn to use Interoception in our own bodies, and how to teach others in classes and private sessions. Learns skills to blend therapeutic asana and functional movement by building from the core out to the limbs, along with layering Yogic maps such as the Koshas & 8 Limbs.

SomaYoga Therapy and Somatics can help us work toward smarter muscles, and you'll learn why two very conscious cycles with curiosity are better than 10 fast repetitions. Explore how Somatics involves the brain, muscles, and the nervous system. Learn how to incorporate it into yoga practice to help students improve posture and get out of chronic or persistent pain.

Immersion is led by Ann Maxwell, Yoga North ISYI Co-Owner, MAed, C-IAYT, ERYT 500, Somatic Educator
